Overview

As the Head of Paid Search, Europe, you will execute our transformative vision for performance marketing across the region. Drawing on your deep expertise in AI-powered paid search, advanced analytics, and client-focused strategies, you will shape Assembly’s regional paid search operations to deliver outstanding results. This leadership role puts you at the forefront of innovation, growth, and operational excellence, requiring strategic acumen, operational rigor, and the ability to galvanize teams to exceed client expectations. 

 

Partnering closely with the Global VP of Search and regional leaders worldwide, you will help chart the future of Paid Search, driving forward-thinking solutions that cement Assembly’s status as an industry leader. You will oversee a team of Paid Search Partners and Business Directors, ensuring the continuous development of talent, the pursuit of product excellence, and the achievement of measurable client success across Europe. 

Responsibilities

Talent

  • Lead and Inspire: Provide visionary leadership to the Paid Search department, fostering an environment where teams excel, innovate, and feel empowered to take initiative. 
  • Champion a High-Performance Culture: Build a culture of curiosity, collaboration, and continuous learning in alignment with Assembly’s core values. 
  • Attract and Retain Top Talent: Partner with our People team to hire diverse, high-calibre individuals, while supporting ongoing professional development to maximize retention.
  • Future-Proof Skill Sets: Identify emerging trends and skill gaps, implementing targeted training and upskilling programs to ensure teams remain at the forefront of AI-driven Paid Search. This will include leading our game-changing Executive Academy for Europe. 


Product

  • Define the Paid Search Vision: Shape and refine the regional Paid Search strategy to align with global directives and account for unique market nuances. 
  • Champion AI-Led Innovation: Drive the adoption of advanced AI tools and practices to enhance campaign performance, bolster client outcomes, and streamline operations. 
  • Establish Benchmark Standards: Develop and maintain best-in-class methodologies and processes for consistent, high-quality delivery across all accounts. 
  • Deliver Exceptional Results: Oversee the development of performance-driven campaigns that generate measurable ROI, reinforcing Assembly’s reputation for excellence.

 

Operations & Growth

  • Optimize Processes: Oversee the operational framework for Paid Search, ensuring efficient workflows, streamlined collaboration, and effective resource utilization. 
  • Measure Impact: Set and monitor key performance indicators, using data-driven insights to refine strategies and maintain a client-centric approach. 
  • Promote Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other activation teams (e.g., Programmatic, Social, SEO, Affiliates, Retail Media etc.) to develop integrated marketing solutions that exceed client expectations.
  • Cultivate New Business: Partner with regional leadership on pitch strategies, identifying new opportunities for Paid Search growth while expanding existing client relationships.
  • Expand Client Partnerships: Support account teams in uncovering upsell and cross-sell opportunities, positioning Paid Search as a critical growth driver for clients.
