About Us

At Assembly, our mission is to find the change that fuels growth. We apply this principle to the work we do with our clients and to how we engage with our people. We’re a modern global agency bringing together media, data, technology and talent to make brands perform.

Our business is purpose driven. In March 2022, we were named Ad Age’s first ever Purpose-Led Agency of the Year, recognised for our mission to leave the world better than we found it. This year we became B Corp certified, the result of a two-year journey. We’re proud to have created a culture where diversity of thought, experience, and background are valued, within an environment that fosters continuous learning, adaptability, and a shared passion for meaningful impact.

When you join Assembly, you become part of an award-winning global community of digitally led experts, home to 1,500 talented people across 25 offices globally. Together we create unique data, technology and media solutions that enable faster and smarter problem solving within an inspired, collaborative workplace.

Assembly is poised for its next chapter of growth. We’re a meritocratic, high-performance business with a progressive outlook and a growth mindset in all that we do. To realise our potential we need some new skills and thinking.

The core DNA of Assembly lies in digital performance marketing. New and existing clients are asking us to extend this expertise across all media, connecting traditional channels with digital methods of execution, measurement and automation. We were born the right way to do this – we’re building out from a leading digital and technology capability and adding the rest, rather than trying to reverse engineer a legacy business into a more modern version of itself. At Assembly we ask our people to embody three core values:

Show Up: actively contribute to a space of personal and collective growth

Make Change: embrace obstacles as opportunities, taking intentional steps to drive positive change

Win Well: approach success with integrity, responsibility, and a commitment to collaboration, understanding that the journey is as important as the destination.

We look forward to meeting you and to discussing how we can grow together.

Overview

The Growth Manager sits at the heart of Stagwell Media’s new business operation, responsible for turning opportunities into brilliantly run, strategically coherent and compelling pitches.

You will own opportunities from brief to submission, bringing together the right people from across Stagwell Media, shaping the response and driving teams towards excellent work. This is a hands-on role that combines strong project leadership with excellent writing, strategic judgement and an instinct for what makes a pitch compelling.

You will also own the day-to-day management of our new business pipeline, ensuring it provides a clear and accurate view of our opportunities, activity and performance.

Responsibilities

Own pitches from brief to execution

  • Contribute to the day-to-day delivery of pitches, RFIs and RFPs, from initial brief and kick-off through to submission and presentation.
  • Interrogate briefs to understand what the client is really asking for and translate this into a clear response plan.
  • Build and manage project plans, timelines and workstreams, ensuring everyone understands what is required and when.
  • Keep complex pitch teams moving, anticipating risks, resolving issues and maintaining momentum against often demanding deadlines.
  • Coordinate contributors across Stagwell agencies, markets, capabilities and disciplines.
  • Take ownership of smaller opportunities yourself while working with senior Growth leadership on our larger and more scaled pitches.
  • Coordinate and manage busy pitch days, from owning logistics including pitch-room theatre and set up, through to supporting senior stakeholders with final tweaks and alterations of pitch content.

Shape the response and story

  • Help establish the response strategy, structure and overarching pitch narrative.
  • Support with turning multiple workstreams and viewpoints into one clear, cohesive Stagwell Media story.
  • Write, edit and improve client-facing content, ensuring it is correct, clear, persuasive and directly answers the brief.
  • Challenge work that doesn't answer the question or meet the required standard.
  • Identify gaps, contradictions and areas requiring further thinking, working with specialists and senior stakeholders to resolve them.
  • Own the development of pitch presentations and document structures, working closely with strategy, design and senior leadership.
  • Ensure the final submission feels like one compelling response rather than a collection of individual contributions.

Raise the quality of our pitches

  • Maintain a consistently high standard across presentations, written submissions, credentials, case studies and supporting materials.
  • Work with designers to ensure presentations bring the strategic story to life clearly and powerfully.
  • Brief and coordinate additional pitch assets where required, including video, credentials, case studies and pitch theatre.
  • Support pitch rehearsals and presentation development, helping teams communicate the story with confidence.
  • Apply learnings from previous pitches to continuously improve the quality of our work.

Manage the Growth pipeline

  • Own and maintain Stagwell Media's new business pipeline, ensuring records are accurate, complete and consistently up to date in trackers and reports.
  • Proactively manage opportunities through the pipeline rather than simply recording activity, identifying stalled opportunities, upcoming decisions and actions required.
  • Maintain clear records of wins, losses and pitch outcomes, including reasons and relevant learnings.
  • Prepare accurate information for regular pipeline reviews, leadership updates and Growth reporting.
  • Maintain visibility of upcoming pitches and deadlines, highlighting potential resource pressures and clashes early.
  • Ownership of new CRM onboarding.

Understand and help qualify opportunities

  • Support the qualification of new opportunities, helping assess the brief, scope, client requirements, competitive context and potential opportunity for Stagwell Media.
  • Research prospective clients, categories, competitors and incumbent agencies to give pitch teams a strong understanding of each opportunity.
  • Synthesise research into useful intelligence and clear implications for our approach.
  • Develop an understanding of why we can win each opportunity and ensure this thinking informs the pitch process from the outset.
  • Support Growth leadership in identifying where we should focus our time and resources.

Coordinate commercial responses

  • Work with senior Growth and commercial teams to ensure scope, staffing, pricing and commercial requirements are understood and delivered.
  • Coordinate commercial workstreams as part of the wider pitch plan, ensuring dependencies and deadlines are clear.
  • Understand the relationship between pitch scope, commercials and the wider proposition, flagging inconsistencies or risks.

Build relationships across Stagwell

  • Develop strong relationships across Stagwell Media and the wider Stagwell network.
  • Build an understanding of the capabilities, expertise and people available across the network so you can quickly bring the right teams together around an opportunity.
  • Confidently coordinate stakeholders across different disciplines, seniority levels, agencies and markets.
  • Participate in client meetings, chemistry sessions, clarification calls and pitch presentations, representing the Growth team confidently and professionally.
  • Build towards leading elements of client-facing new business meetings and presentations.

Build a better Growth function

  • Help build and maintain a strong bank of credentials, case studies and reusable pitch materials.
  • Capture learnings from wins and losses and turn them into practical improvements.
  • Identify opportunities to improve how we run pitches and work across the network.
  • Explore how technology and AI can improve the speed, quality and effectiveness of our Growth processes.
  • Bring ideas, energy and curiosity to how Stagwell Media approaches new business.
